An Arab driving a bulldozer rammed into a bus and other vehicles on Jaffa Street, Jerusalem's busiest street, a short while ago. He was shot and killed by police, who apparently waited way too long because of the strict 'open fire orders.' At least four people have been killed and 'dozens' have been wounded. A top NATO official says more helicopters, surveillance aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles and other equipment is needed in Afghanistan. U.S. Gen. Bantz J. Craddock, NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander of Europe, also wants national authorities to reduce or drop restrictions on how and where troops from their countries can be used in NATO’s Afghanistan mission. The Security Council has extended by 18 months the mandate of the monitoring team set up in 2004 to help track the application of the U.N. sanctions against the Taliban, Al-Qaeda and their operatives. Three Americans and a local interpreter were killed this morning when a coalition force convoy was attacked in Afghanistan, according to the Pentagon. A US-led coalition forces helicopter crashed in eastern Afghanistan, causing "minor injuries" to two soldiers on board, the force said Thursday. Small-arms fire killed two US soldiers and wounded three south of Baghdad, the American military said. The soldiers were killed as they were leaving the Madain town council office at around 1:00 pm (1000 GMT), the military said.
