LAHORE: US Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Richard Holbrook phoned Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif at midnight and raised concerns over the prevailing political turmoil in Pakistan, Geo News reported on Friday.
According to sources, the discussion between two leaders lasted for ten minutes. During the discussion, Holbrook urged Nawaz to seek a way of reconciliatory politics and find peaceful solutions to disputes.

Holbrook urged Nawaz to play his active role in stabilizing democracy in Pakistan and added, “Political instability in Pakistan will derail democracy”.

Nawaz Sharif asserted that PML-N was not in favour of any kind of confrontations and wanted to resolve all disputes peacefully adding that government must meet promises it made to the people of Pakistan.
