ISLAMABAD: U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice met with President Asif Zardari on Thursday. The tension between Pakistan and India after Mumbai attacks has been discussed during the meeting. U.S. Secretary of State said the global threat of extremism and terrorism has to be met by all states, taking a very tough and hard line.

President Zardari informed Rice that Pakistan is constantly in touch with Indian government after Mumbai attacks and ready to cooperate for investigations. However India did not give positive response.

Rice and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani meeting is underway after which she would talk to media at the airport before departure.
