No dialogue with militants, says PM Gilani

Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said in unequivocal terms that government is against every type of terrorism and would enter in dialogue with only who lay down arms and renounce violence.
Implementation on government strategy would be ensured till complete elimination of menace of terrorism and extremism, the Prime Minister said this while talking to Chief of the Army Staff Gen. Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani here on Tuesday.
Host of issues with regard to current situation of tribal areas, country’s defense and mutual interest were discussed during the meeting, sources told Online.
The Premier said dialogue would only be initiated with those who had laid down their arms while Pakistan would be made terrorism free country. He went on to say that implementation on government strategy would be ensured for establishment of peace in tribal areas of the country.
People living in tribal areas intend to see peace and we have complete support of them, he said, adding that, militants would be flushed out from tribal areas.
No one would be allowed to challenge government’s writ, the Premier said. Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani further stated that war against scourge of terrorism and extremism would be continued till its logical end. Declaring Pakistan army as country assets, the Prime Minister said, every need of military would be fulfilled.
Sources told Online, Chief of the Army Staff Gen. Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani briefed the Prime Minister about overall law and order situation in tribal areas and affairs related to national security.
He also assured every type of cooperation for peace.
