PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif Thursday underlined the need for inclusion of Kashmiris in the Pakistan-India peace process to resolve lingering Kashmir dispute. Nawaz Sharif expressed these views while talking to visiting APHC delegation under the leadership of Mirwaiz Umer Farooq here on Thursday.
Sources told Online that the meeting lasted for quite a while in which host of issues with special focus on Kashmir issue were discussed in length. During the meeting, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq briefed Nawaz Sharif regarding their fruitful meetings with President Musharraf, PM Yousaf Raza Gilani, PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and others during their stay in Pakistan. He stressed upon Nawaz Sharif to take pragmatic measures for the durable solution of Kashmir like as he did in his last tenure.
He pointed that Indian PM Manmohan Singh must be invited to visit Pakistan, adding that we are determined even today to solve the issue according to the aspirations of Kashmiris.
Nawaz on the other hand assured the APHC delegation that he would talk to Pakistani government for peaceful solution of Kashmir and would take down to earth measures for the process to continue.
"Pakistan wants durable solution to Kashmir urging that until and unless the dispute is not solved, peace cannot be restored in South Asia," Nawaz added.
End.
