The government has submitted a report in Sindh High Court regarding withdrawal of a case against Asif Ali Zardari from a London court. Deputy Attorney General Rizwan Ahmed Siddiqui submitted report regarding withdrawal of the Surrey Palace case before a division bench of SHC on Thursday consisting of Justice Qaiser Iqbal and Justice Mohammad Alim Rizvi.
The counsels of Zardari prayed the court for some period to examine the report. The court granted their plea and adjourned the hearing for an unspecified period.
It is to be mentioned that counsels of Asif Ali Zardari had filed a petition praying that cases abroad against their client have not been withdrawn under NRO upon which the court had ordered the Attorney General to get the cases withdrawn and submit the report in this regard before the court.
It was the last case against Asif Zardari withdrawn by the government of Pakistan from a foreign court.
End.
