An election tribunal Thursday accepted the nomination papers of Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Mian Nawaz Sharif to contest election from NA-123. The nomination papers of PML-N covering candidate Hamza Shahbaz were also accepted by the tribunal. The nomination papers of Nawaz Sharif were rejected during the general elections.

Meanwhile, the hearing of objections against nomination papers of Shahbaz Sharif was adjourned.

Talking to media the lawyer of Nawaz Sharif said that the court has turned down the objections.

The judgment on the objections by the rival candidate was earlier reserved by the returning officers of NA-123.

The returning officer also accepted nomination papers of Muslim League (Q) candidate Akhlaq Guddu, independent candidates Noor Illahi, Riaz Gujjar and Ashraf Jahangir.

End.
