Figures released by police show violent crime, car crime, sex offences and criminal damage in Plymouth have all fallen - but house burglaries have shown a rise. The annual statistics from Devon and Cornwall Constabulary show the force has seen a drop of 9.1 per cent from 4,646 to 4,225 across the two counties. However, in Plymouth the number has risen nine per cent, from 1,162 to 1,267. For almost every other recorded crime, the figures have fallen. Robbery has dropped by 21.5 per cent while criminal damage and graffiti has dropped 14.7 per cent.
