China eager to take trade to Rs. 15 billion in next five years

Ambassador of China to Pakistan Luo Zhaohui has vowed that China would take the trade with Pakistan to the highest level of Rs. 15 billion in the next five years. He expressed these views in his address to the investors and traders on the occasion of Iftar Dinner hosted by Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry in honor of him here on Wednesday. Luo Zhaohui said that the trade volume between the Pakistan and China is approximately 5.2 billion presently. But plans are afoot to have the target of this volume increased to Rs. 15 billion in the next five years. He said that Pakistan traders must give due focus to the China market. Because China is a golden country in the world regarding trade. The visa policy of the China for the Pakistani traders was also very relaxing and currently the government of China is issuing visa to the Pakistani traders immediately. Those, who are selected by the Chamber of Commerce are given due importance, he said .
He further said that there was also a need to further extend cooperation in fields of tourism. Last year approximately, 0.6 m Indians visited China. As compared to Pakistani tourists whose number remain only 0.1 million. Incharge Visa Section of China Embassy said that last year china government had arrested around 300 illegal Pakistani immigrants from the midland China. On the occasion, President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nasir Khan told that Pakistan and its peoples have great love for the Chinese, and cited that Pakistan and China are jointly working on the Gwadar port Project. Acting President FPCCI, Azhar Saeed Butt, Vice President Zubair Tufail, Chairman Founder Group, Munawar Mughal and Vice President ICCI, Muhammad Hussain and large number of traders and other persons also attended the ceremony.
