Important evidence in Tarbela Ghazi suicide attack found: Cheema

Brigadier retired Javed Iqbal Cheema, Spokesman of Interior Ministry on Wednesday underlined that valuable evidence have been found in the ongoing investigations in Suicide attack at Tarbela Ghazi . A gang involved in suicide attacks in Punjab, Rawalpindi and Islamabad has been arrested, Javed Iqbal Cheema expressed these views in a weekly briefing in Interior Ministry on Wednesday .
Javed Iqbal Cheema was of the view that the weekly briefing scheduled to be held on Tuesday was postponed till Wednesday due to his commitment as he was not present in City .
During the meeting, Cheema highlighted the two gruesome incidents that occurred last week .
One incident he pointed was an attack at SSG Mess in Tarbela while the second was the killing of Maulana Hasan Jan in Peshawar terming both the incidents as highly excruciating and intolerable adding that such culprits are killers of humanity .
He said that Intelligent Agencies are on their toes to unveil the culprits of humanity .
He strongly condemned the murder of Maulana Hasan Jan in Peshawar while the attack on the Mess was meant to target Pak Army .
He said that investigations are underway, however important evidences have been found in the ongoing investigations He further acclaimed the performance of Investigation Agencies in arresting the gang involved in suicide attacks in Punjab, Rawalpindi and Islamabad terming it a big success .
He was of the view that action will be taken in the light of the investigations .
Replying to a question, Cheema said that Government is taking pragmatic measures to ensure security while no one will be allowed to play with law and challenged the Writ of the Government .
He further said that during operation in restive tribal areas, both sides suffered greatly as human lives were lost in it .
In another question, Cheema said he has been informed that some journalists have been kidnapped by Security Agencies adding that investigations are underway in this regard .
Regarding opening of Lal Masjid, Cheema made it clear that it will not be opened until actual people (Namazis) who want to pray come in the mosque stressing that people who are politicising the issue will not be allowed to enter the sacred place for their own vested interests.
